Really put your feet up and relax with the great rooms in this hotel. Each room is brilliantly designed and furnished, and provides all the services you’d expect, and more. Before dropping off to sleep in the comfortable beds, why not watch some television on the flat screen LCD TV or indulge in the complimentary toiletries in the private en-suite bathroom.
The hotel itself has every luxury and facility. The brilliant spa in the hotel is complete with a steam room, indoor pool, and even a fantastic gym, perfect for keeping fit during your holiday. If it’s a nice day, you can even take a dip in the wonderful outdoor pool or challenge friends or family to a friendly (or competitive!) game of tennis in the courts provided. The hotel even has an excellent driving range for golf enthusiasts and casual players alike.
For an interesting day out, we recommend visiting the fascinating American museum in Bath, the only museum of folk and American decorative art outside the US itself! This brilliant museum will take you on a unique journey through American history, from early settlers, all the way up to the 20th century. This one of a kind museum is perfect for a visit during the Christmas season, when the whole museum is transformed, and there is a special exhibit showing great American inventions throughout history. There’s also a brilliant gift shop in the museum, perfect for bringing back souvenirs for family. For something a little more exciting, why not visit Longleat Safari Park, the first drive-in safari park outside of Africa! This spectacular park boasts an amazing and unique experience that really allows park-goers to get up close and personal with the animals on display. This brilliant safari park is number 1 in the UK for a reason – make sure you don’t miss out!
In the evenings, take a trip to the Little Theatre cinema, a fantastic independent cinema right in the city. This great cinema has been up and running since 1936, and boasts brilliant 1930s architecture. This little cinema is great for a cosy, warm atmosphere that has a great history as the entertainment centre of the city. For a bite to eat during the day, we recommend Bea’s Vintage Tea Rooms in the centre of Bath. This authentic tea room, with dainty china tea sets, embodied tablecloths and wartime posters really offers a blissful retreat from the bustle of the city, and a great lunch in the day. The tea room serves delicious fresh homemade cakes, and is renowned for its tasty buttermilk scones. The tea rooms also offer traditional breakfast including eggie soldiers, country porridge and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. This great tea room has amazing attention to detail and really reflects the 1930/1940s war era – even the waitresses are dressed with pinnies, bright red lipstick and land girl bandanas.
