Due to its impressive architectural design and fascinating history, the church has been listed as a Grade I building by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. This Church of England church has eight bells in its stunning tower, and the north vestry houses the organ. The spiral reaches a height of 130 feet tall, and there are a number of impressive monuments and memorials inside that are well worth visiting. There are a number of plaques inside the church itself, commemorating a number of notable families with connections to the church, and the site is notable for being the venue of the baptism of Henry Ireton, son-in-law of Oliver Cromwell.

Close by you can find the Attenborough Nature Reserve, which was opened by Sir David Attenborough in 1966. Spanning across 145 hectares, the reserve includes a number of lakes and wetland areas, and is very popular with birdwatchers due to the area being home to some 250 different species. Visitors can enjoy a number of walks along the trails at the centre, including the Kingfisher Trail that takes you around the whole reserve, which is approximately 3.7miles. Other facilities include bird hides where you can discreetly view the wildlife, and the centre often runs educational classes for those that wish to learn more.
