Short walk from the boquería market on la rambla – 3 star – Barcelona

From the minute you arrive at this three star property you will be astonished at just how close it really is to well known attractions and sights such as la rambla, the gothic quarter and Plaza Catalunya. Despite being so centrally located, you don’t need to worry about the noise, as all rooms are soundproofed. The free internet access, climate control and cable television in each guest room are sure to make your stay more comfortable, whilst a daily housekeeping service will ensure you return at the end of the day to a lovely clean and tidy space to relax. Should you need anything extra during your stay, do not hesitate to ask the friendly reception staff available 24/7.

Just a short walk from the boquería market on la rambla, prepare for your senses to explode, with beautiful displays of fruit and fresh seafood and delicious aromas wafting over from the tapas bars. Arrive early in the morning so you catch it in all its glory- by the afternoon much of the fresh produce will have disappeared. Bringing a camera is essential here, and some change so you can sample typical dishes such as salt cod balls, iberico ham and empanadas. The tapas bars here are reasonably priced and some of the highest quality you’ll find in the city, all cooked fresh in front of you.

Afterwards, walk off all that delicious food with a stroll down to the beach. You’ll pass the Columbus monument at the foot of the rambla, the yachts in the marina and plenty of skateboarders taking advantage of the wide paths. At the beach you can hire a sunbed for the day and set up base, with the glistening Mediterranean sea waiting to cool you off when you need it to. The beach bars along here will always have a cocktail of the day, and what better setting to enjoy a tequila sunrise than this one!

From the beach you can catch the cable car to the top of Montjuic hill, both providing great views over the city. Montjuic is home to a 17th century castle and various museums including the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and the Miro museum. If you’d prefer to spend your time exploring the shops, the gothic quarter has a wealth of boutiques, whilst Passeig de Gracia is the place to go for highstreet favourites such as H&M and Mango as well as luxury brands like Burberry and Prada.
