Charming hotel with amazing location – 4 star – Brussels

This charming hotel with amazing location is on the Avenue Louise, within a stone’s throw of the centre of Brussels. Inside your hotel, you’ll find a comfortable bedroom with en-suite bathroom and TV, telephone and internet. The staff will do their best to give you a seamless stay with daily housekeeping and options for wake-up calls and a turndown service.

Avenue Louise gives you a path right into the city packed with restaurants and shops close to the hotel. Wander further and explore the squares and markets to find a bustling, new shopping experience. It is here that you can get the best of Belgium’s culinary exploits – and there’s a lot of tasting opportunities too. More upmarket shopping can be found on the Boulevard de Waterloo housing top brands. It is hard to choose from the little chocolate shops in the city, each being unique but the Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate can give you an overview and, more importantly, a demonstration. Choosing beers at the popular stop, the Délirium Café, is hard as there are thousands to try, so many in fact it’s won a World Record.

When the weather is fine, take a stroll around the city’s numerous gardens. The biggest are those belonging to the Royal Palace (you can also look inside). Other gems are the Gardens of the Van Buuren Museum which include a labyrinth, the Botanical Gardens and the Park of Brussels which has enough shows and fountains to keep children busy, but probably not dry! If the weather takes a turn for the worse, enjoy a coffee in a quiet café off the main square or try out any of the city’s countless museums which cater for all tastes; from the Toone Theatre of puppetry, Autoworld and the Comic Strip Museum to the more intellectual Art and History Museum; they are sure to fill the day. The intellectual traveller might enjoy the number of archaeological sites available for viewing in the city, as well as the European district where you can tour the European Parliament.

At night, the city is the place to be with the beautiful architecture of the Cathedral and Town Hall illuminated. Restaurants open late so you can take it all in, meaning you can fit in live music or a theatre performance before dinner. For night owls, there are a number of techno and retro clubs over the city. And with the hotel so close, there is no excuse not to stay out late.
